Backwater is a breeder of Australian Mountain Doodles, Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles. We are located in The Tennessee Valley on a 30 acre farm at the foot of the Cumberland Mountain and the Tennessee River in Northeast Alabama, Jackson County. We are only a short drive to Huntsville and Birmingham Alabama, Chattanooga and Nashville Tennessee and Atlanta Georgia.
We believe all dogs deserve the love of People and the freedom to run and play. Our dogs are not kept in kennels and have the freedom to come in and out in 2-3A fenced enclosures. Most of our females live with Guardian Families where we maintain breeding rights for up to 3 years. This program allows ALL of Dogs to live happy lives and get the individual love they so deserve! Our Guardians must live within a 80 mile radius of Scottsboro, Alabama.
All of our puppies are sold with Spay/Neuter Contract unless previously discussed.

Although most of us will have the opportunity to have multiple dogs within our lifetime, we want to use all resources afforded us to insure they stay with us for a long time. To do this, we must make sure that every litter is as healthy as possible. So , we test ALL of our dogs for most if not all testable genetic health conditions on over 200+ genetic markers.
